The premier construction services company of Southeast Wisconsin, located in Waukesha and founded in 1978, is recruiting an experienced, hands on CFO to join our senior management team. This person would have the experience to provide sound leadership for the financial function and lead activities in support of the growth of the organization. The position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
Manage a team of five full-time employees conducting transactional accounting including, billing, accounts receivable and payables.
Timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with variance analysis and narrative of key events impacting results.
Managerial Accounting – measure, analyze, interpret, and communicate financial information to the management team and key managers to support organizational goals.
Job costing and profitability, including implementation of the processes to support accurate actual to estimate reporting and analysis.
Preparation of the annual budget and quarterly financial re-forecasts, with a one-year rolling outlook.
Advise on financial analyses and decision-making regarding capital investments, significant costs and other related matters with COO and management.
Participate in the core team leading implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Develop, document, and implement business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Lead annual audit process with external auditors.
Preparation of work papers to support all tax preparations by external tax preparer.
Perform financial modeling and cost benefit analysis to support business decisions.
Lead special projects and other duties as required by the business.

CPA with a degree in Accounting with an MBA a plus.
5 – 7 years working experience as a CFO or VP-Finance.
Thorough knowledge of accounting, budgeting, financial statement preparation, forecasting and GAAP.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong computer skills using accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience implementing an ERP software system. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus.
